[FARC_list] Tour de Loop Bicycle Race– Saturday, August 17, 2019

	 Hi everyone.   

	 All hands on deck! We need at least 9 operators to do this one
right.

	 The Ride Oswego County (ROC) Tour de Loop bicycle race is on
Saturday, August 17. Start time is 9:30 am at Rudy’s in Oswego.
We'll meet at 8:30 am in Vona’s parking lot (West 10th and Utica St.
in Oswego) to allow time for folks to get in position on the
spread-out course.   

	 There will again be 30 mile and 50 mile race routes. The routes are
the same as last year. The map can be see here (scroll down):

	 We will use 146.565 MHz simplex for this event. Net control will be
centrally located out on the course and will repeat all information
received so that -everyone- can hear it. We still may have to relay
given the distances involved.   

	 HTs are of no use for this race. Mobiles with at least 25w output
are recommended. 

	 I will coordinate with ROC and make maps, etc.   

	 Please let me know if you can help out. If you're new to public
service events and/or do not yet have your own equipment, we can pair
you with one of our seasoned veterans so you can get a feel for it.
